Our facility can accomodate up to the following: * Wedding "Reception" / Private Party / Christmas Party (up to 200 guests max) * Wedding "Ceremony" & Reception (up to 150 guests max) * Sit Down Dinners: Banquet / Rehearsal Supper / Graduation Dinner (up to 125 max) | Hello, my name is Jodi Melancon Snelling. My husband, Steven & I are taking over the business of Jodi's Cafe & Catering in January 2009. My parents Fred & Sandra Melancon are retiring (for the 3rd time) LOL. They have both worked so hard for so many years to provide for our family, now it's time for them to take time out for themselves. (I know, I know my Dad will still come in to help me cook. He can't help it, it's in his blood) Here is a bit of our history. Fred & Sandra Melancon opened Lafayette Hall in August of 1996. Since then many changes have been made. We survived a fire from October 2000 & were forced to close the doors for renovation for 6 months. Upon reopening April 2001, business was full force! We noticed that we had lots of competition out there, but we were still like none other, we were family & gave you that warm smile & hospitality that you deserved. Then one day my father came up with an idea... "We love to cook, people love to eat, so why not eat our food???" We then started opening up for lunches during the week back in November 2004. Yes, it was a challenge, but we have been going strong for 4 years now thanks to you! We actually have some of our original customers that started out with us way back when still eating with us today!!! We hope to continue to give you great home cooked food that you enjoy for many years to come. Thank you to everyone for being our "backbone" in this transition.
